Salinas welcomes its first Jet Center
Salinas, CA. Sept 25, 2007 – Central Coast Aviation Services proudly announces the Salinas Municipal Airport Jet Center, the newest high-end aviation facility to serve Northern California and the Monterey Peninsula. Central Coast Aviation has partnered with local developers, and the City of Salinas, to build this state of the art facility designed to serve the needs of corporate and business aviation.
“I am excited about this project,” Gary Vincenz, Owner of Central Coast Aviation, said. “The Jet Center will serve the growing needs of aviation on the Monterey Peninsula and in the Salinas Valley. It will be an asset for the city and allow us to continue serving our customers to high standards.”
The Salinas Jet Center will be breaking ground in 2008 for a project that will include over 100,000 sq. ft of hanger space for corporate aviation, over 40,000 sq. ft of office space, a national chain hotel, a restaurant, and a conference center.
“The City of Salinas welcomes the new project as a great opportunity for the airport and for the City,” Gary Petersen, Airport Manager, said.
According to NBAA, 12,000 new jets are expected to add to the growing aviation industry in the next 10 years. With this projected increase, the development of the Salinas Jet Center will not only deliver to aviation needs but also to the growing economy of the City of Salinas.
Central Coast Aviation, an aggressive FBO startup, joined the aviation industry just 4 years ago. The company quickly rose to the top and is now ranked the No. 1 FBO in the nation on AirNav.com.
